“Representations on the treasure were the subject of erudition”

Member of the Hungarian Academy László Török interviewed by Emőke Gréczy about the results of the Seuso research so far in No. 62 of MúzeumCafé.

“Eszter Ráday’s interview with János György Szilágyi was published in Élet és Irodalom in April 2014 on the occasion of the arrival in Budapest of the first seven pieces of the Seuso treasure. The noted classical archaeologist was no longer alive when the other artworks were returned and thus some of the questions raised in the interview could perhaps be answered more easily today in the possession of all the known treasure. We conducted this conversation with member of the Academy, the head of the Seuso Working Committee, László Török.”
